Where to find a student job in Copenhagen
No single site has every student job in Copenhagen. Jobindex and Jobnet carry most Danish-language ads, LinkedIn most English-language ones, the universities run their own job banks behind a login, and Work in Denmark and The Hub serve people who arrive from abroad. Below is what each one actually lists and who it is for, followed by the numbers from our own index: 1164 live postings around Copenhagen right now, 178 of them posted in the last seven days.

The words to search for
On the Danish boards a student job is a studiejob and the person in it a studentermedhjælper; an internship is a praktik or praktikplads, a thesis collaboration a specialesamarbejde. English-language ads say “student assistant”, “student worker” or “working student”. Searching an English term on a Danish board misses most of its ads, and the other way round.
The sites, one by one
Jobindex · Danish
Denmark's biggest job site, which collects ads from employers and from other job sites under the line “alle job samlet ét sted” (every job in one place). On the day we checked it listed about 36,000 ads across the country. There is no student category on the front page: search for studiejob or studentermedhjælper with Copenhagen as the place, and expect most ads in Danish. We index its Copenhagen student-job search; it is behind 416 of our 1164 live postings (36%).
LinkedIn · English and Danish
Where most English-language student ads in Copenhagen are posted, often by the companies themselves and often by agencies reposting the same role. Filter by job type (internship, part-time) and search “student assistant” or “working student”; every ad shows how many people have clicked apply, which tells you how crowded it is. We index LinkedIn's public Copenhagen listings; they are 748 of our 1164 live postings (64%).
Jobnet · Danish
The public job bank, run by the Danish Agency for Labour Market and Recruitment (Styrelsen for Arbejdsmarked og Rekruttering). Employers post there directly and free of charge, so what is there comes straight from the employer; almost all of it is in Danish, and you search it with the Danish words above. We do not index Jobnet.
Work in Denmark · English
The state's site for people coming to work in Denmark, part of the European EURES network; it says it “connects Danish employers with European talent”. An English job portal with about 2,100 vacancies on the day we checked, aimed at skilled candidates from abroad rather than at students, plus EURES advisers you can ask about job hunting. Nothing on it is specific to student jobs, but it is the one official board written for people who do not read Danish. We do not index it.
Your university's own job bank · Danish and English
Each Copenhagen university runs a job bank where companies post roles aimed at its students, and you log in with your university account. Fewer ads than the big boards, but every one of them wants a student like you. KU Projekt og Job is the University of Copenhagen's (the university's own vacancies, including student assistant posts at KU, are on jobportal.ku.dk); CBS CareerGate lists student jobs, internships, graduate programmes and project-based work, and CBS says more than 12,000 of its students use it; ITU's Job and Project Bank does the same for the IT University, which also runs the IT Match Making job fair twice a year. All three run on the JobTeaser platform. We do not index them; our programme pages instead show which public ads ask for your degree.
The Hub · English
A job board for startups: “we connect global talents with career opportunities in Nordic startups”. English throughout, with filters for internships and student roles, and companies from Copenhagen as well as the rest of the Nordics and Europe. Small, but the ads are the kind that rarely reach Jobindex. We do not index it.
studyjob.ai (this site) · English and Danish
An index of the live student jobs, internships and thesis postings around Copenhagen that we find on LinkedIn and Jobindex, read every day, with expired ads removed. Each posting is screened for which degree programmes its ad asks for, and whether it needs Danish, in the ad's own words. We do not take applications: every card links to the original ad, and the employer's text governs. What we do not cover yet: Jobnet, Work in Denmark, the university job banks and The Hub, which is why they are listed above.

“Doable without Danish” means the ad is written in English and does not require Danish, or says outright that English is fine; “require Danish” counts ads in any language that say so. A Danish line in a company's boilerplate is not a requirement. The English-friendly ones are listed here →
Do you need Danish?
Less often than the Danish boards make it look. Of the 1164 live postings we index, 164 (14%) say Danish is required and 327 (28%) can be done without it. The catch is where those ads live. LinkedIn carries most of the English ones; Jobindex and Jobnet carry Danish ads almost exclusively, and an English search there finds little. If you are not an EU or EEA citizen, the hours you may work on a study permit are set by the Danish Immigration Service; check the current rule on nyidanmark.dk before you apply.
How this page is made
The numbers are computed from our live index every time the page renders; nothing in them is typed in by hand. The description of each site was written by the studyjob.ai team, drafted with AI assistance and then checked against the site itself on 22 October 2026; the figures quoted for other sites (ads listed, users) are what those sites showed that day. We re-check this page monthly. Something wrong or missing? Write to hello@studyjob.ai.
