Privacy
Short version: you can browse without an account and without cookies. If you log in, one session cookie is set and your profile, swipes and saved jobs are stored, and you can delete it all yourself. Here is the long version.
Who is responsible
studyjob.ai is operated from Copenhagen, Denmark. Contact for anything in this notice: hello@studyjob.ai. The registered legal entity and its CVR number will be listed here before any account or payment feature goes live.
What is processed when you visit
- Server request logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., receives the standard data any web request carries (IP address, user agent, requested page, time) to serve the page and keeps short-lived logs for security and error diagnosis. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a website (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
- Signed out: your tracker stays in your browser. No cookies, no embedded third-party widgets; fonts and company marks are served from this domain. When you save a job without an account, the list and its stages are kept in your browser's local storage. To show whether a saved posting is still open, the tracker sends our server those postings' ids, and nothing else about you. If you then log in, your saves are copied into your account.
- Cookieless usage statistics. Vercel's Web Analytics counts page views and a few in-page actions (a search and its result count, a filter, a save, loading more results, a click on the posting page's Apply link, and a programme saved during setup, recorded as its university and degree level only). Search terms are recorded with their result count, so we can see what people look for that we do not have; please do not type personal details into the search box. It sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser; Vercel tells visitors apart for one day by a hash of the request that it then discards, and we only ever see aggregated counts, never a person's path. No account or email is ever attached to an event. Legal basis: legitimate interest in knowing which parts of the site are used (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
- Signed in: one session cookie. Logging in sets a cookie that holds your session token. It is strictly necessary for the account to work, so no consent banner applies (cookiebekendtgørelsen § 4). No other cookies.
- Email you send us. If you write to hello@studyjob.ai we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle it.
Your account and profile
Accounts use a code sent to your email; no password is stored. We keep your email address; your university and programme, the curriculum and semester you pick and your enrolment year if you give it; your Danish level and whether you want the daily email; your five onboarding swipes and when you made them; the jobs you save (title, company, apply link and deadline as the page showed them), the stage each is in and every move between stages with its time and whether you or the site made it; the numbers shown when your profile was built, with the posting it pointed you to and when; and when your account was created and last changed, when you finished onboarding and when the last daily email went out. That is the whole list. Until 7 October 2026 we also asked which courses you had done or were taking; we no longer ask for or use it, and the answers stored before then were deleted on 7 October 2026. Legal basis: performance of the service you asked for (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). A university address (itu.dk, cbs.dk, student.cbs.dk, ku.dk, alumni.ku.dk or stud.ku.dk) is recorded as verified, together with the university it belongs to; that is the only thing done with the domain. Nothing about you is shown to employers or other users. Data is kept while the account exists; Delete my account on your profile removes all of it immediately.
Processors and where data lives
- Vercel Inc. (hosting and request logs). Pages are served from Vercel's network; server functions run in Frankfurt (EU). Vercel is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and bound by a data processing agreement.
- Supabase (database and login, Frankfurt, EU). The database holds programme and course data, the job postings we index from public boards, and, for account holders, the profile described above. Login emails are sent by Supabase's mail service on our behalf.
The programme data on this site
Programme structures, course facts and programme objectives are collected from the universities' own public pages and curriculum documents. They describe programmes, not people; staff names on course pages are not stored. See our crawler page for how collection works.
The job postings on this site
Postings are indexed from public job boards and link back to the original. We keep the posting text, the employer name and the board's own facts (dates, deadline, applicant count where the board shows one). Recruiter or contact-person details that a board publishes are not shown and are purged from our copy 90 days after a posting closes. Write to hello@studyjob.ai to have a posting removed.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and complain to Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.dk). Write to hello@studyjob.ai; we answer within a month.
When this changes
Application tools (drafted CVs and cover letters) will add processing that is not described here. This notice will be updated before any such feature is switched on, and the date at the top will change.
