Pluto.markets is one of the most promising scale-ups on the Nordic venture scene, backed by Y-combinator, leading VCs and 6 local unicorn founders - building the next chapter of investing.

After building out the platform for four years, we have built a product that users love with high engagement/retention and healthy unit-economics. Now’s the time to scale, with the goal to acquire 40,000+ new customers over the next 12 months and launch across Europe.

You will be part of this effort, interacting closely with management and founders who currently run the daily operations.

Who we are

Pluto.markets is a neobroker, founded in Copenhagen in 2021. We have built the first investment platform in the Nordics offering low commission trading, fractional shares, crypto and our new ETF-alternative: Collections.

Users already love what we do. During the last 20 months since our public launch we have achieved:

• Trades worth 5bn DKK+ executed on the platform
• 2,000,000+ trades
• 20,000+ registered users
• 5x growth since January across all metrics

Founders are former Goldman Sachs Trader and Economist, Joakim Bruchmann, and software engineer Oscar Vingtoft.

We are based on Købmagergade in the city centre with a team currently of around 20 FTEs.

The role

As a student on the Pluto team, you can expect to get a lot of responsibilities fast, and a steep learning curve with real understanding of how a scale-up operates. Our ambition is to 10x the company, and your primary job is to keep daily operations running smoothly as we grow. You will:

• Handle customer onboarding and KYC checks
• Monitor transactions and manage AML alerts
• Be a helpful face to our customers through our in-app chat (a great opportunity to learn about the financial markets)
• Run financial tasks, including internal transactions and the correct handling of client funds
• Tackle a mix of recurring work and one-off projects that come up as we grow

About you

Building the next unicorn requires bulletproof systems, processes, and state-of-the-art execution - therefore we are looking for a structured and extremely driven student. Our ideal candidate:

• Has a genuine interest in financial markets and investing
• Thrives in fast-moving environments
• Takes ownership naturally and is self-driven
• Is not afraid to work directly with founders and management
• Has a strong work ethic
• Is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in economics, business, math or another relevant field
• Speaks Danish, Swedish or Norwegian (an advantage)
